Historical Copyright (Until 31 December 2020)

The Journal of Design for Resilience in Architecture and Planning (DRArch) retained the copyright of all published articles until 31 December 2020. During this period, the journal held the rights to reproduce, distribute, and archive the published works in print and electronic formats.

Author-Retained Copyright Model (From 1 January 2021 Onward)

Beginning 1 January 2021, DRArch adopted a new author-retained copyright policy. Under this model, the journal does not require authors to transfer any copyrights to the publisher. The author(s) retain full ownership of their works, including all moral and economic rights.

However, in order to publish and disseminate the work, authors grant DRArch a non-exclusive publishing right, which allows the journal to:

  • Publish, reproduce, and distribute the article in all media formats (digital and print);
  • Include the article in indexing, repository, and archiving systems (e.g., Crossref, PKP PLN, LOCKSS, institutional repositories);
  • Maintain the article permanently accessible in electronic form.

Authors are free to reuse their published content (text, figures, tables, or images) in other works such as books, academic compilations, or teaching materials, provided that the original publication in DRArch is properly acknowledged.

All articles published from 2021 onward are protected under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) , which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided that appropriate credit is given to the author(s) and the source.

DRArch fully supports open knowledge dissemination and encourages authors to deposit the final published version (Version of Record) of their articles in institutional or subject repositories to ensure long-term accessibility and visibility of their research. <Back to Journal Policy>
